Maison&Objet 2025 – welcoming, transforming, living

The event, expected in early September, renews the language of design with six thematicuniverses, new international talents, and the curatorial vision of Amélie Pichard, transforming the trade fair experience into a stage open to change.

From September 4th to the 8th, 2025, the Parc des Expositions Paris-Nord Villepinte will host the second annual Maison&Objet, the international trade fair dedicated to the world of designliving, that on this date showcases a renewed experience under the artistic direction of Amélie Pichard. Her radical and open-minded vision redefines the event, transforming it into a “home to reinvent”: a fluid and inclusive space where design breaks free from traditional boundaries to explore new relationships between objects, people, and ideas.

AN OPEN HOUSE TO ALL

The heart of this edition is “An Open House – Open to All,” a curation conceived by Pichard to deconstruct the conventional barriers of design and bring forth a new conceptual grammar, made of encounters, contrasts, and questions.. The space comes alive like an open stage, populated by object-actors that are not merely exhibited, but also narrate the most avant-garde vision of the world. Recycling, hybridization, craftsmanship, and seriality: contemporary archetypes that reflect the tension between everyday gestures and critical thinking. The home, in this narrative, is not just a refuge or comfort, but a political, dynamic, and collective place.

Objects, ideas, and contrasts shape a new way of thinking and living, in which the home becomes a political, living, and shared space.

The September fair offers a structured exhibition divided in six worlds centered on different experiences that chart the geography of contemporary living: “Cook & Share” celebratesgastronomy not only as a functional activity but as a ritual and a moment of sharing; “Fashion & Accessories” intertwines fashion with creativity, highlighting the fluidity and adaptability of objects to the demands of urban life; “Home & Decoration” shines the spotlight on furnishings and decoration; “Wellness & Beauty” explores the realms of well-being; “Crafts & Creation” payshomage to craftsmanship, while “Kids & Family” introduces the dimension of play and childhood. Of these, “Cook & Share” and “Fashion & Accessories” are exclusive to the September event, representing high-impact seasonal innovations.

The September event is divided into six parts that explore contemporary living, including Cook & Share, which celebrates gastronomy as a ritual of sharing, and Fashion & Accessories, whichinterprets fashion as fluid, urban creativity: two exclusive, seasonal sectors that reflect the event’s most innovative trends.

Alongside this thematic journey, M&O strongly supports emerging talent. The Rising Talent Awards, this year focused on German experimentation between Bauhaus and environmentalresponsibility, and the Future On Stage project, which recognizes three startups for innovative and sustainable solutions, demonstrate the desire to combine aesthetics and social impact. The Factoryspaces, spread across multiple pavilions, welcome over forty independent brands, ranging from gourmet rituals to gift ideas and modular solutions for contemporary living, thus reinforcing the fair’s vocation as a laboratory of ideas and pure creativity.

Between experimentation, sustainability, and independent creativity: the Rising Talent Awards and Future On Stage celebrate the intersection of aesthetics and social impact.

PARIS DESIGN WEEK

The dialogue with the city continues through the Paris Design Week (4-13 September 2025), whichwill enrich the Marais district with a dedicated program showcasing female talent. One year afterthe launch of the Women & Design by Maison&Objet network, the most visionary female figuresin the sector, from France and internationally, will showcase different languages in the world of collectible design.

Some examples? Juliette de Blégiers, the face behind Leblon Delienne, reinvents childhood pop icons with playful and refined projects; Béatrice Saint Laurent, founder of Galerie BSL, proposesa dialogue between art and sculpture through visionary installations; gallerist Marie Bérangère Gosserez explores the boundary between nature and design with “Whispers of the Forest,” an immersive exhibition also featuring Dedar Milano. Finally, designer Margaux Keller brings her poetic and radiant world to the heart of Paris, combining narrative objects and interior design.

Together, these prominent figures shape an aesthetic that combines imagination, research, and savoir faire, supported by the work of the Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d’Art of the City of Paris, committed to promoting local manufacturing. Maison&Objet, joining this chorus of ideas and persepctives, does not simply exhibit objects, but interrogates their functions and deconstructs their narratives, restoring them to their most authentic role: a mirror and driving force of our time.

A leitmotif perfectly described by the artistic direction of Amélie Pichard, which suggests an open and critical attitude, inviting us to rethink living not as a simple question of form, but as an act of collective relationship and social evolution.
