In the midst of the Christmas season, as last-minute gifts are being purchased and holiday table decorations are being decided, the design world is already looking ahead to next year, specifically January, when interior design, hospitality, and contract trade shows resume. One of the first events to mark on your calendar is undoubtedly the new edition of Maison&Objet in Paris, a top event in the style calendar and an unmissable event for discovering all the latest innovations from companies and design studios.
The event will be held from January 16 to 20, 2025 , at the Parc des Expositions in Paris Nord Villepinte , while the Maison&Objet in the city events throughout the city will begin on the 15th. The house in order will be in Paris to observe, discover, and select all the best presented by the 2.329 expected exhibitors (600 of which are new), with a careful and critical eye not only for new products but also for the quality of the collections. SUR/REALITY & LATEST NEWS
To celebrate the centenary of the publication of the Surrealist Manifesto, the theme of the 2025 edition of M&O is Sur/Reality : a tribute to the provocative and stimulating spirit of the artistic movement of the time, characterized by limitless creativity . The aim is to spark curiosity about the future of interior design and lifestyle, providing inspirational insights and stylistic surprises through new solutions capable of daring and astonishing visitors, enthusiasts, and industry professionals with the same playful and experimental attitude as the Surrealist masters.

The 2025 Designer of the Year —an artist to whom an entire space within the fair is dedicated—will be Fay Toogood . A multifaceted creative and designer, she is highly sought after by companies and enjoys expressing her creativity across sculpture, design, fashion, and drawing. At the fair, she will present " WOMANIFESTO! ", an installation inspired by the theme Sur/Reality with a surrealist setting: a journey to discover the creative processes that guide the artist every time she approaches a new project.
Another experience, this time exploring Korean design, can be had by visiting The Rising Talent Awards space . As per the rules, this year's participants are all under 35 and have opened their studios within the last five years. It will be an opportunity to discover new creative languages, blending minimalist lines and personal interpretations of Korean craftsmanship with a contemporary twist.

A new development will undoubtedly be the focus on the hospitality sector , a sector increasingly the subject of study and exploration not only by designers and creatives, but also by sociologists and trend setters. This multi-faceted research highlights the growing demand for increasingly customizable and custom-made solutions, tailored to the individual needs of each client.
The section within the fair called “ What's New? ” will be the stage where hundreds of brands will exhibit their new products divided into three macro-sectors, each curated by a different creative. The What's New? in Decor area (Hall 7) will be curated this edition by Elizabeth Leriche , who will present her selection of products in a sort of sprawling labyrinth, with immersive, dreamlike paths and two installations: The Room of Dreams and Fantastic Forest.

What's New? In Hospitality (Hall 6), designed by Julien Sebban , will explore this topic—as previously mentioned, under the spotlight of both the public and designers—with the Hotel Uchronia project . In a 200-square-meter space, the creative will present his vision of the hotel of the future, with spaces designed down to the smallest detail, embodying a new concept of hospitality that is increasingly welcoming, comfortable, and tailor-made.
Designed as a concept store, the third area of What's New? In Retail (Halls 3 and 4) will be designed by François Delclaux . A selection of exhibitors' products will be presented under four themes— Curiosity Cabinet , Daydreams & Pleasure , Illusions , and Natureculture —all inspired by the overall theme of 2025, linked to the Surrealist leitmotif. Additionally, there will be three animated display windows divided into the Sustainable , Museums , and French Made groups . Don't miss the Plug & Play Merch section , offering turnkey solutions for retailers, this time inspired by fast food imagined as a design bar.

Completing M&O's rich program at the fair, from the 15th to the 20th, you can visit ateliers and showrooms throughout Paris participating in the Maison&Objet in the City initiative . In one large circuit, decorators, art galleries, interior designers, historic fashion houses, and specialized artisans will open their spaces to showcase the best of their work, ranging from textiles to ceramics and furniture.
