ORIGINAL HOME – ECO-FRIENDLY LAMPSHADES
Originalhome is a Dutch company that offers sustainable and ethical home decorations, using eco-friendly and recycled materials. The company collaborates with small artisan workshops in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Tanzania, providing employment opportunities in rural areas. An example of this is the collection of recycled plastic lampshades presented at Ambiente. Not just decorative elements but the result of an innovative recycling project, which transforms plastic waste collected on the Indonesian coasts into sustainable yarns, then hand-woven by local artisans.
Among the new shades: Moss, Blossom and Honey, colors that symbolize positivity and renewal. The weatherproof lampshades are versatile and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use – originalhome.nl
GREEN PETITION – RECYCLED BEACH TOWELS
Green Petition is a Turkish company specializing in the creation of 100% recycled bath and beach towels. The production is in fact entirely based on recycling, 50% from plastic bottles and the other 50% from fabric scraps in fibres, reworked to create towels or peshtemal (the traditional Turkish towel, known for being light, absorbent and quick-drying), here is the video of the production.
Thanks to the natural colors of the recycled fabrics used, the products are not dyed but made by combining recycled fibers with organic cotton.
In practice, the company combines sustainability with quality, functionality and aesthetics, expressed simply from the raw material to the final packaging. The brand aims to raise awareness about recycling and zero waste, reflecting this responsibility in the products they design. – greenpetition.com
