Playful signature dishes, for an authentic tablescape that embraces a worldview of #onlybeautifulthings.
Among the memories of my visit to Maison&Objet, I definitely note Ilaria.I and her new collection of fun decorated porcelain plates and mugs. Original pieces that set the table through the simplicity of everyday life, but with that extra message capable of transforming conviviality into a delicate journey of emotions.
Since 2012, this all-Italian brand has been able to concentrate a world of passions in a single dish, and since then I have followed its developments, sharing the theme “only beautiful things” coined by its founder. In a fast-paced world, stopping at the table becomes an act of love. Ilaria Innocenti has found a way to tell it through an enchanting gaze, made of details that remind us of home.
Her production of hand-decorated ceramic plates and cups is born from this very desire: to celebrate the beauty of small things, to make every dish special, even the simplest. On each piece there is a word or a drawing that caresses the soul or a thought that makes you smile and turns into an invitation to joy, to sharing, to lightness.Over the years, her collections have become a collection of concepts that go straight to the heart and awaken the deepest part of our soul. “There are those who choose to collect them, those who make breakfast with them, those who show them off at the table with friends, those who hang them in the kitchen, and those who give them as a sincere greeting,” she explains.
A refuge is a welcoming place during high-altitude breaks, with its characteristic warmth that provides relief from the cold temperatures. A certainty for those who feel protected in the mountains, just like at home.

The latest news seen in Paris are no exception. There are sensations linked to our experiences that, if evoked by a visual stimulus, immediately come to mind. That’s what happened to me when I saw the Rifugio plate from the new Winter collection.
The Profumo mug, from the Winter collection, evokes the pleasure of taking a break when the weather turns cold and it’s nice to sip a hot herbal tea while looking out the window.

The immediate perception is that of a table line that invites slowness, pampering, the beauty of collected moments, giving warmth to the cold season. These decorations are inspired by winter nature, with soft tones that recall the warmth of a blanket, the scent of hot chocolate, and a home that, in fact, made me think of the protection of a safe nest.
But the message of the new Cities line is also special, designed to dream of an imaginary tour of the cities we love: from Paris to Milan, from Rome to Berlin. Each dish is named after a city or place, evoking its charm and energy. For those who love setting the table with a cosmopolitan touch and taking diners on a journey without leaving home.
I Like Paris from the Cities line is almost a manifesto dedicated to the most romantic city in the world. A small plate that becomes an accomplice to a love.

Super Papà is the proposal designed for Father’s Day, but perfect all year round because it becomes a tribute to our everyday hero. A sincere recognition of his strength, sweetness, and uniqueness, and for those who want to renew their “thank you” with a smile, making a breakfast, lunch, or dinner shared with him special.
Super Dad, with its simple decoration, actually contains the substance of a universal message. A kind gesture to thank, with a smile and every day, one of the most important people in our lives.

Finally, exquisitely linked to the Christmas period, there are the Special X mas dishes. They are a hymn to the holidays with their gold, red, and green intertwined in the words Christmas and Santa Claus, underlining how only a few elements can create the atmosphere of such a special and heartfelt occasion.
Insomma, grazie a questa deliziosa creatività, posso confermare che non servono grandi allestimenti per trasformare un pasto quotidiano in un momento di vita memorabile e allegro, da soli o in compagnia.
Santa Claus and Christmas embody all the magic of the holidays in their names. Perfect on a small plate for serving traditional Advent sweets, or perfect on a gift mug for someone who loves this unique season.
