He graduated in aerospace engineering with a thesis on a human-powered aircraft, then moved <strong>to Milan in 1967<\/strong> to collaborate with <strong>Gio Ponti<\/strong> and <strong>Alberto Rosselli<\/strong> of the Ponti-Fornaroli-Rosselli studio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In 1985 he founded his own studio Isao Hosoe Design<\/strong> and designs for some of the most important companies around the world and in various fields, from transport with the Meteor touring coach project, &#8211; awarded the Compasso d&#8217;Oro in 1970 &#8211; to furnishing elements for Cassina, furnishing accessories for Tonelli and even telecommunications instruments for Bosch.<\/p>\n<p><em>Isao Hosoe with Alberto Rosselli, Meteor bus, Carrozzeria Orlandi, 1970<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Meteor represents one of the first attempts at long-distance buses to improve the quality of design and passenger comfort: lower floor level, increased ceiling height, wide visibility and the entry of sunlight through a large roof window.<\/em><br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-44121\" src=\"https:\/\/lacasainordine.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/autobus-meteor-1024x368.jpg\" alt=\"autobus meteor\" width=\"1024\" height=\"368\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lacasainordine.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/autobus-meteor.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/lacasainordine.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/autobus-meteor-300x108.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lacasainordine.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/autobus-meteor-768x276.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Japanese culture shines through in each of his projects, which he has skillfully infused into the Made in Italy design process.
