Spacious, comfortable, and surprising, corner sofas inhabit the space they occupy, interacting with the sides of the room and offering unparalleled softness.<\/h4>\n

The sofa, by importance, is the center of a living room, especially in the winter months: its role is somewhat suspended between a refuge in which to sink, reading a good book or sipping a cup of hot chocolate, and a place where friends and relatives sit, perhaps with a snack in hand and a slight anxiety that something might get dirty. A smart sofa is large and comfortable, of course, but above all it knows how to inhabit the space in which it is placed<\/strong>, following the natural angle of the room, sometimes tapering against the wall, sometimes imposing itself in the center of the room. This is how the living room is embellished: with a sort of “corner” work of art, capable of welcoming everyone without leaving anyone standing and offering maximum comfort to everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is why, when I think about my living room, I choose a sofa that has these characteristics first and foremost, and if you are looking for a special and “inclusive” creation, I recommend you do the same:<\/p>\n

angular<\/strong>: because it interacts with the sides of the room and frees up the center;
\nsoft<\/strong>: because a sofa that doesn’t invite you to stay isn’t really a sofa;
\npersonal<\/strong>: not just a place to sit, but an element that tells something about me;
\nstain-resistant or removable<\/strong>: because, even if it shouldn’t be, it always happens that someone nibbles or drinks something while sitting comfortably on it;
\nLarge or flexible<\/strong>\u2014sometimes both\u2014because your needs change: there are ready-made corner sofas, practical and immediate, and more free-form modular systems, which allow you to build the composition over time, but with a greater investment.<\/p>\n

1 – COMPACT, WELCOMING, FUNCTIONAL<\/strong>
\nLet’s start with the Blok corner sofa by Dal Bello Studio<\/strong>, chosen for its spaciousness and compact, generous shape, highlighted by a seat depth of up to 74 cm. What struck me most was the color: a sober, deep, earthy green. Furthermore, the corduroy, with its parallel reliefs and thick stitching, gives the sofa an informal and welcoming character, also helping to hide small creases and signs of use. Although it is not removable, its covering is stain-resistant and easy to clean.<\/p>\n

2 – PROTECTION AND CONTINUITY<\/strong>
\nCleo by Molteni, on the other hand, is a modular design with countless configurations, the work of designer Vincent Van Duysen. This sofa is based on the idea of \u200b\u200ba cozy and harmonious space: a continuous shell embraces the seat and backrest without interruption, giving a feeling of protection. The feet, made of thin painted steel sheets, are designed to make it light, almost like a \u201cfloating object\u201d in space. Among the various systems, it offers two corner elements, one right and one left, with a wide and relaxed seat, ready to be configured in a composition that can be covered in removable fabric or leather, also available on request in a fireproof version.<\/p>\n

3 – ORIENTAL INSPIRATION<\/strong>
\nSamet High<\/strong> represents the latest addition to Gervasoni’s Samet range, following the classic and low versions. What convinced me was the attention paid to softness and aesthetics, emphasized by the addition, compared to the standard configuration, of a quilted topper: a soft padded layer, placed above the seat, which increases its welcoming feel. The quilted finish makes the sofa visually and physically more enveloping, bringing it closer to the Thai imagery from which the project draws inspiration. The flexibility of the configurations also allows you to customize Samet in length and width, adapting it naturally to the different needs of the living space.<\/p>\n

4 – FLUIDITY AND SOFTNESS<\/strong>
\nThe angular arrangement of Lema’s Niveaux,<\/strong> designed by Federica Biasi, is a fluid and informal system, conceived for free and contemporary use. From a construction point of view, the seat is enriched with a surface layer of memory foam that increases its softness, while the free-standing backrests with metal counterweight can be freely positioned, making the composition extremely flexible. The integrated support surfaces are available in various materials, including marble, clay or concrete and its fabric cover is completely removable.<\/p>\n

5 – VOLUMINOUS COMFORT
\nGast by Frag, <\/strong>which can be arranged in various corner configurations, is available in two lengths, both featuring a single seat and back cushion. It is a sofa with large but balanced dimensions, with a wide and relaxed seat. The volume of the padded parts accentuates its softness, further enhanced by the memory foam backrest. I was also struck by the variety of upholstery available: from the sober elegance of leather, always easy to clean, to the wide choice of fabrics and colors.<\/p>\n

6 – SOPHISTICATED URBANITY
\nDialogo by Fratelli Boffi <\/strong>presents Platea, a low corner unit, also available with the addition of a comfortable ottoman. What convinced me was the unique design, capable of conveying a sophisticated, almost futuristic urbanity, thanks to the rotating base that allows the seats to change configuration. The base finishes, in eucalyptus wood or black lacquer, combined with the velvet upholstery, reinforce its magnetic and elegant character while the limited height invites a relaxed and informal posture. The dimensions are balanced: they do not dominate the space and make the module ideal for medium-sized living rooms, and harmonious compositions for smaller spaces.<\/p>\n

7 – MONUMENTAL LIGHTNESS<\/strong>
\nAir Soft 2615 by Lago <\/strong>captivated me with the extreme softness of its select and certified goose down upholstery, but also with the detail of its transparent feet, available in tempered glass or metal, which support its monumental dimensions (almost five meters long and over three meters deep) with surprising lightness. It is precisely its size that transforms this sofa into the spatial fulcrum of the room, without visually weighing it down. 8 – REFINED VISUAL CONTINUITY<\/strong>
\nThe Vine sofa by Turri<\/strong> displays impressive yet controlled proportions. With a seat depth of 75 cm, it is a spacious and relaxed piece of furniture, allowing for relaxed comfort. The non-removable textile covering in neutral, dusty tones (warm greys, beiges, muted blues) gives a sense of sobriety and comfort, while the lighter external shell, almost framing the cushions, defines the volume without weighing it down. The integrated elements, the support surfaces and the structural details in wood and brushed gold reveal an attention to functionality, recalling an idea of \u200b\u200bcultured and measured living. 9 – AN INFORMAL CORNER
\nTogo<\/strong> by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset<\/strong> is an iconic, low sofa with soft, fully padded lines and no visible rigid structure. It has an almost \u201creclining\u201d, informal appearance, very far from the composed seat of a traditional sofa. In the corner module, Togo best expresses its character through a wide seat, designed for leaning and relaxing; the angle is neither rigid nor geometric, but soft, perfect for enveloping compositions. 10 – ICONICITY
\nCamaleonda by B&B Italia,<\/strong> designed by Mario Bellini in 1970, is one of the most iconic modular sofas in the history of design, presented here in a corner arrangement. The composition is born from the aggregation of independent square modules, connected by an ingenious system of rings and cables. The seat is deep, deliberately low, designed for informal and enveloping comfort. The soft padding gives rise to the characteristic capitonn\u00e9 workmanship. Pictured right, Camaleonda x Stella McCartney in antique pink is a contemporary reinterpretation that combines the iconic language of the sofa with an idea of \u200b\u200bconscious luxury, using a new fabric. This limited edition is my personal favorite: the combination of Camaleonda’s soft shape and a delicate and feminine magnolia palette, capable of softening its character without distorting it, making it surprisingly contemporary and sensitive.<\/p>\n
