What we have just said goodbye to was a year of changes and important decisions, as I have already described in my previous editorial.<\/a>
\nThe goal in 2026, however complex, will be to get out of a comfort zone in which everything is beautiful by definition. It’s time to break the silence when something isn’t convincing: the last article in our Style Ideas<\/a> column clarifies this without leaving room for doubt.<\/p>\n

Our gaze is focused on the house, of course, but nothing prevents us from applying this critical exercise to everything that surrounds us. In fact, I recommend it and do it every now and then, it helps to refocus.<\/p>\n

With that said, let’s move on.

\nIn recent weeks, among the various articles, we have also told you about our holiday table<\/a>, where the color palette has favored antique pink – a nuance that we will continue to see also in 2026 – together with a British-inspired mise en place, with velvet inserts for the tablecloths.<\/p>\n

We talked about the renovation<\/a> of a house in the countryside between the Itria Valley and the Murgia of Puglia. Here the starting point was not the simple redevelopment of a residence, but a “broken promise”: a volume in reinforced concrete, abandoned, devoid of finishes and, above all, a real soul.<\/p>\n

Unmissable, then, is the space dedicated to the cultural panorama which opens the new year with a calendar full of Exhibitions & Events.<\/a> One above all: “Liberty. The art of modern Italy”, opening in Brescia on January 24th. Over one hundred masterpieces – including paintings, sculptures, photographs, graphics and refined atelier clothes – tell the story of the transition between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. An era that, I admit, I continue to find profoundly fascinating.<\/p>\n
