Natural light floods the spaces, caressing carefully chosen materials, revealing measured proportions and intimate corners, in a delicate balance between traces of the past and new everyday life.<\/h4>\n

Overlooking the Church of Santo Spirito, in the heart of Florence’s oldest district, a 200-square-meter apartment<\/strong> has regained its original identity thanks to a project by AFSa Studio<\/strong>, which successfully blends history and modernity in a shared vision of pure elegance. The project transformed two previously separate homes into a single master residence, restoring integrity, balance, and a uniform architectural language, with carefully designed spaces and attention to detail. All this, outlining a timeless style, enveloping in its (apparent) formal simplicity.<\/p>\n

The elegantly minimalist entrance welcomes those who cross the threshold, guiding the gaze towards the interior spaces and highlighting carefully chosen materials and details.<\/em>

From the house, the church of Santo Spirito appears as a silent landmark in the heart of Florence, underlining the rhythm and balance of the rooms. <\/em>

The project was born from the desire to adapt the interiors to the needs of a young family in a contemporary key, without interrupting the dialogue with the building’s historical traces. From this principle a complete renovation began which, alongside the consolidation and restoration of the original structures, redefined the spaces in a measured balance between functionality and aesthetic quality.<\/strong><\/span>. A refined atmosphere emerged, capable of evoking a particular lightness and delicacy, which are usually found in paintings rather than in reality.<\/p>\n

The living room, bathed in the brightness of white walls, features a few carefully selected furnishings; color and vitality emerge from the hanging artworks and designer pieces, enhancing the simple elegance of the space.<\/em>

The biblioth\u00e8que de passage organizes the passage between the rooms, creating a balanced visual rhythm and defining the succession of spaces with measure.<\/em>

The internal layout <\/strong>clearly distinguishes the bright and open living area<\/strong> from the more private relaxation areas. The entrance leads to the corner living room, the study and the dining room, with the biblioth\u00e8que de passage<\/em> overlooking the main rooms of the house. In the sleeping are<\/strong>a, the master suite now opens onto a walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom; two additional bedrooms share a large shared bathroom, and a third bathroom completes the layout, ensuring comfortable privacy for each room.<\/p>\n

The dining room, which opens onto the living room, is defined by balance and restraint: light filters through the large windows, enhancing the warm tones of the materials and the understated elegance of the furnishings, in a continuous dialogue between functionality and atmosphere.<\/em>

The spaces flow seamlessly, punctuated by large openings<\/strong> in the existing walls and a bright atrium<\/strong> that, along with the numerous windows<\/strong>, diffuses a distinctive light, enlivening the innermost corners with delicate nuances and creating a rarefied allure. The living area<\/strong> stands out for its harmonious and measured language: terrazzo floors, lacquered wood\u2014some carefully chosen furniture\u2014and walls in warm, neutral tones create a relaxed and bright atmosphere, where every element interacts with the others. What emerges is a visual and material continuum, a silent tale of luminosity and proportions.<\/p>\n

The marble countertop and custom-made wooden cabinetry create a contrast of textures and materials, transforming the kitchen into a refined space with great personality.<\/em>

In the kitchen<\/strong>, the marble countertop meets the wood and textured finish of the custom-made furniture, creating a sophisticated balance that is also reflected in the bathrooms, which are minimalist yet full of character, contemporary yet with a bohemian soul: the conceptual fil rouge<\/em> running through the entire home.<\/p>\n

The hallway from the sleeping area opens onto the atrium, revealing a new space where the bathroom once stood, and transforming the passageway into a space of breathing space and balanced proportions.<\/em>

The children’s bathroom and the guest bathroom combine microcement and warm-toned plaster, creating essential spaces that echo the kitchen’s mix and match of materials.<\/em>

With natural lighting and carefully selected surfaces, the house has rediscovered harmony and balance, where the memory of the original architecture coexists with the lightness of a new daily life. The overall style of the interior is almost monastic: a refined interplay of solid volumes and voids<\/strong>, in which the warm white of the walls becomes a neutral canvas for designer furnishings and tastefully chosen antiques.<\/p>\n

The master bedroom combines fabrics, colors, and natural materials in a bohemian style, where elegance and personality coexist without excess.<\/em>

The result is a collection of spaces that combine simplicity and elegance, welcoming those who live there with a pleasant feeling of intimacy, characterised by a sophisticated (and studied) nonchalance.<\/p>\n
