Ever-changing aesthetics, reinterpreted traditional crafts, and design languages \u200b\u200bthat blend memory, material, and creativity create a universe where innovation and craftsmanship interact to define new forms and meanings.<\/h4>\n

At the Parc des Expositions Paris-Nord Villepinte, from January 15 to 19, 2026<\/strong>, Maison&Objet <\/strong>will unveil a constantly evolving language, where forms, atmospheres, and suggestions intertwine to evoke new perspectives and unexpected visions. The chosen theme, “Past Reveals Future<\/strong>,” invites us to interpret design as a living organism, shaped by memory and projected toward new forms of expression.<\/span> At the heart of the event is Harry Nuriev, Designer of the Year<\/strong>, who, through his manifesto \u201cTransformism,\u201d will explore the future of style, transfiguring meanings and perceptions in a visual narrative that unites craftsmanship, technology, and imagination.<\/p>\n

His installation in Hall 3 will lead the visitor into an immersive experience where everything becomes gesture, narration and vision. Alongside Nuriev’s work, four creative currents will interpret the theme through complementary perspectives, revealing possible scenarios for the aesthetics of tomorrow: Metamorphosis<\/strong>, Recomposed Baroque<\/strong>, Matter & Mutation<\/strong>, and N\u00e9o Folklore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In un\u2019epoca segnata da crisi ambientale e sovrapproduzione, la creazione non nasce pi\u00f9 dal nuovo a ogni costo, ma dalla trasformazione. Metamorphosis will tell the story of objects that change identity, function, and language, celebrating reuse as a poetic act. The visions of designers such like Lionel Jadot show a world where what is considered waste becomes living matter, revealing an unexpected beauty. It is a creative tension that combines experimentation, responsibility and artistic impetus.<\/p>\n

RECOMPOSED BAROQUE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Qui il massimalismo si libera dall\u2019ornamento tradizionale per farsi Recomposed Baroque, un dialogo tra maestria artigianale e audacia contemporanea. In the Projects<\/strong> sector, French glassmakers, weavers, cabinetmakers, and ceramists will reinterpret the ancient gesture with a fresh perspective. Collaborations such as the one between Waww la Table<\/strong> and Vincent Darr\u00e9<\/strong> testify to its vitality: a theatrical, exuberant yet calibrated design that reinvents excess as a form of expressive freedom.<\/p>\n

MATTER & MUTATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is the starting point of an investigation that delves into its most intimate transformations. With Matter & Mutation, M&O will describe the encounter between organic materials, ancestral techniques and innovation. From Quentin Hirsinger’<\/strong>s research on “Translucidity” to that of artisans such as Muriel Maire <\/strong>and Ana Montaya<\/strong>, matter becomes a mutant organism: mycelia, bacterial pigments, plant fibers and hybrid materials become tools for exploring new aesthetic and productive imaginaries.<\/p>\n

This trend shows a return to territorial narratives: N\u00e9o Folklore combines local traditions, digitalization and craftsmanship, outlining a d\u00e9cor language rooted in local cultures yet speaking to the present. From the projects of the bureau MC&CO Trend<\/strong> to the renewed codes of the Ukrainian production tradition<\/strong>, identities capable of leaving their mark emerge, rewritten through colors, symbols and techniques that evolve without losing their original voice.<\/p>\n

The January edition of Maison&Objet 2026 presents itself as a sensitive mosaic, in which past and future touch without overlapping, and where creativity becomes reflection, gesture, and vision. A scenario that celebrates not nostalgia, but the ability of design to absorb its own time and transform it into presence, form, and meaning. In short: tomorrow.<\/p>\n
