During the Christmas holidays the house becomes the protagonist, to be decorated and embellished to create the perfect environment to host relatives, friends and enjoy the holiday days immersed in the sweetest atmosphere of the year. To share ideas and ideas, we chose as a starting point this apartment in the heart of San Paulo in Brazil, designed by Doppia Arquitetura Office. Its neutral colors for the walls and floors, and the furnishings with simple wooden lines with light fabric finishes, create an elegant style in all rooms, which can easily be combined with many decorative elements to create the perfect Christmas setting.

IDEA FOR THE LIVING ROOM
The large living room is the ideal starting point for creating a colorful personalized Christmas. Focusing on the classic Christmas colours, a warm throw in shades of red cannot be missing: to be used in the evening, but also to decorate the simplest of sofas for a cozy touch. The historic company Somma1867 offers the Bliss collection, designed by Draga&Aurel in extrafine merino wool and cashmere.
While for an extra wireless light point, to be used on the table, but also on a coffee table or on a bedside table, you can choose the Bellhop lamp by Flos, in its brick red version. Beautiful when turned on, decorative even when turned off and rechargeable via USB with autonomy of up to 24 hours.

During the holidays it’s nice to host friends and relatives, and as we know, there is never enough space for jackets. Here is an easy solution to insert into an interior, which does not require extra space and at the same time can be used and then removed easily.
It is the Omett model produced by Rexite: a modular coat hanger with essential shapes, which can accommodate up to 24 elements and available in the free-standing version. While to add a note of color to the light sofa, Fendi Casa offers the Karl 2 line of cushions: designed by Karl Lagerfeld with the Karligraphy logo, they are made of velvet and silk, and embellished with all-over printed graphic patterns.

In this Brazilian apartment the space designed for the living room has been divided into two parts, so as to have two areas despite being in the same large room. In fact, next to the area dedicated to conversation, furnished with sofas and armchairs, another area has been created, with comfortable sofas and a large TV screen hanging on a wall covered in slatted wood. To delineate the separation of the two areas, a low storage unit that acts as a console with a convenient shelf.

IDEA FOR THE TV AREA
A vase for those who love minimal style and which can be placed on a console or shelf, is the model from the Aurora series. Designed by the Amca Oval studio, which designs projects in the world of interiors and fashion, it is versatile and practical.
While a precious vase, to also be used as a centrepiece, in handmade Murano glass with a Rosewood marble base, is the one designed by Aina Kari, an Italian brand that is conquering the world with its unique, precious and customizable creations.

A touch of bright color can be added to the floor with the line of Scandinavian vintage carpets proposed by Battilossi. Among the various examples there is the Blixen S model, hand-knotted in Denmark in the 1950s with a floral motif that interprets the classic Christmas colors.
And for those who don’t give up decorating the Christmas tree, Carl Hansen & Son offers handmade decorations, using waste leather left over from the production of his furniture collections. They can also be used to decorate a fireplace or the table as place cards.

The dining area of this Brazilian apartment was designed in a wing of the large living room, in front of the French windows overlooking the San Paulo skyline. A simple Scandinavian-style solid wood table has been combined with chairs with light fabric seats and wavy rattan backs, which lighten the lines and highlight the delicate craftsmanship.

IDEA FOR THE DINING TABLE
The mise en place during the Christmas holidays is essential to create the right atmosphere. To keep white wine or champagne cool, the Danish brand Kaj Bojesen proposes its classic Cooler model but in the polished steel variant. To be used together with the Brillantnacht glasses from the historic German group Ritzenhoff. They are made of glass with decorations signed by Ana Vasconcelos, produced in Germany and sold in a precious gift box.

For serving dishes to be left on the table without ruining the tablecloth, Ligne Roset offers a line of comfortable but also very decorative marble trivets. It is called Faces and is made up of three models created with different types of marble, resistant to high temperatures, and with a cork bottom to insulate from the heat.
While, to serve soup or consommé, the Finnish company Iittala produces the Tundra line of bowls in its glass factory in Finland. Worked on an original 1970 design by Oiva Toikka, they are made of glass with relief motifs.
