The designer was called to the creative direction of the company which has been producing furniture and movable walls for the contract world for over 50 years, bringing her inclusive vision inspired by a precise concept: gentle total office.
New ways of living and working, a conceptual and design modus operanti that is well described in a leitmotif, which leaves no room for any doubt: solutions, not products. Starting from this common vision, the designer Ilaria Marelli was called to the creative direction of Manerba, a well-known name in contract interior design. A meeting between kindred souls who speak the same language, linked to the concept of gentle total office, attentive to the well-being of the person and the recovery of the dimension of collaboration.
It is with this idea that the new Manerba furniture shooting was born, set in the “Giulio Romano” art high school in Mantua – the city where the brand has its origins – with which Ilaria Marelli wanted to tell new ways of living and working, making design and people dialogue. Generation Z, in fact, is under the magnifying glass of Marelli and Manerba: they are those who live and have grown up in an increasingly digital world, in an existence linked to uncertainties and ambiguities, increasingly online but at the same time eager to have quality physical experiences. In the office design sector, ambiguity is not a new entry, spatial fluidity has been a reality for years, evolving to adapt to the contexts and needs of individuals and groups.
The same “spatial fluidity” also offers inclusiveness, giving people responsibility for the spaces they inhabit in that particular environment. Design, on its part, is the common thread that unites everything, an aesthetic language that promotes relationships and well-being, through flexibility, functionality but also customization and a sense of comfort.
