Zara Home opens in the city center of Milan

In corso Matteotti 12, a step away from the central Piazza San Babila, one of Milan’s prime shopping areas, Zara Home has inaugurated its new 850-square-meter flagship store.

The Spanish brand’s store occupies the interior space of the historic Palazzo Ferrania, a rationalist building erected between 1936 and 1942, designed by architect Gio Ponti. Arranged on two floors, the flagship follows the layout of a home; indeed, from the main entrance, visitors are welcomed into the living area, followed by the dining room and kitchen area, featuring a selection from the capsule collection Editions.

Still on the ground floor is the living room area, where special leisure collections are displayed, such as the new limited edition dedicated to music and a library area.

Going up to the first floor, one accesses the more private areas of the home: the bedroom and bathroom. In another zone, there is the area designed for children, with a specific section for babies, offering decorative ideas for their rooms, textiles, furniture, and a play area.

From a practical standpoint, Zara Home offers its customers a unique and integrated shopping experience through its online platform, such as the ability to pick up and return online orders through a specific collection point, or home delivery and collection points for in-store purchases.

The structure also features some of the most advanced environmental eco-efficiency systems, in line with the company’s commitment to a sustainable future, including efficient cooling and heating systems, LED lighting for greater energy savings, and the use of more environmentally friendly materials.
The store is also connected to Inergy, a centralized platform that allows monitoring and regulating its energy consumption.
