Maison&Objet 2024 – the best of

The world of home décor gathered in the French capital to mark the new paths of the most “à la page” style, celebrating (also) an important anniversary, with record numbers and charming designs.

This year, Maison&Objet celebrated its first 30 years. A special milestone for the French fair that has just ended in Paris, in the exhibition space of Paris-Nord Villepinte. It’s one of the most anticipated events for furniture lovers and, of course, for buyers, journalists, architects, and designers in search of new trends. It has always been one of the most important events for the furniture universe and for the entire creative world revolving around home décor.

The2024 edition was a true international stage that saw, compared to the past, many more emerging brands and studios – truly interesting – with 2525 exhibitors from all over the world, including 600 new entries, divided into 7 exhibition halls and 170 presentations distributed throughout the city. With a large influx of visitors, the event marked a pronounced return of decorative arts, marking the recognized cornerstones of contemporary style: respect for the environment and craftsmanship. GERVASONI

Refined details, quilting stitches, and a timeless aesthetic: it’s the Samet sofa by Gervasoni, designed by Federica Biasi. A furnishing complement that allows for different configurations, playing with shapes and volumes, available in two different variants.

MARIO LUCA GIUSTI

Classic tradition and contemporary design for the new collections by Mario Luca Giusti, designed for a modern and colorful table. An example is the Butler tray line, in synthetic crystal with a marble effect, created in two different sizes and various colors.

MILLA&MILLI

A project focused on the quality of materials and the uniqueness of craftsmanship is what distinguishes the Croatian company Milla&Milli, which presented the Edge collection at M&O. Composed of a bench, table, and bookcase in solid oak wood, it has a sculptural and refined design.

KDLN

The Milanese company kdln, specialized in lighting projects, presented the Kate ceiling lamp. With a diameter of 90 cm and an inclined architectural shape of 15°, it has a painted aluminum structure and a polyethylene diffuser.

TOSCANINI

Designed for the hotel and contract world, the new Lawrence luggage rack presented by Toscanini. Practical, foldable, and also available in the XL version, it is made of beech wood available in natural, wenge, and Canaletto walnut finishes, embellished with leather details.

TAPICHERI

Colorful, fun, with original and unique shapes: these are the rugs by the French brand Tapicheri, all handmade using only the best New Zealand yarns. With the motto “you make me tapi“, in addition to ready-to-deliver products, it also offers custom-made projects, to be customized as desired.

FERMOB

Many novelties proposed by the French group Fermob: from multifunctional outdoor furnishings, also beautiful for indoor use like the Piccolino shelf, to lighting projects in various sizes. One stands out: the Ulli lamp, small, versatile, to be used wherever and whenever you want with USB recharge.

SIEGER by FÜRSTENBERG

In the stand designed by Chiara Andreatti, the Potocco group proposed some interesting product novelties. In addition to the Jade armchair and the two new versions of the Minima chair, the Cut family was also expanded with outdoor seating. Available in leather and fabric for interiors and woven for exteriors, the line is characterized by a contemporary and elegant design.

KAPKA

Born from a dream of three young Turks Bilge, Sibel, and Saime, the Kapka brand has conquered the most fashionable tables and shops worldwide in just a few years. In addition to range extensions of their enamel collections made by hand, following an ancient Turkish artisan tradition, in Paris, they also proposed porcelain tableware with ironic and fun hyper-colored designs, like the Mind-Pop line.

JARS

The tableware collections of the Jars brand are made in France, in Anneyron in the south of the country. They have soft colors, more classic shapes, and a refined materiality in the ceramic processing. DES REVES

The collections of the small Des Reves brand aim to invite to recover and appreciate the slow rhythms of handmade ceramic craftsmanship, made in the Desvres ceramic district in northern France. For the table, it presented the Décor Rouen line, with delicate blue designs on a white background reinterpreting the motifs of an ancient ceramic collection preserved in the local museum.

LAURENCE BRABANT – ALAIN VILLECHANGE

The Laurence Brabant – Alain Villechange workshop, active since 2000, shapes glass by creating unique and precious pieces year after year, playing with the shapes and reflections of this versatile material.
